Resolution declaring the City’s Intention to Approve an amendment to the CalPERS\ncontract for cost sharing program for South Gate Division Management Association,\nSouth Gate Police Management Association, and South Gate Police Officers’ Association\nThe City Council will conduct a public hearing on a request to consider adopting a Resolution\ngiving notice of the City's intention to approve an amendment to the contract between the City\nand the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement System\n(“CalPERS”) to provide employee cost sharing of an additional 1% for the local miscellaneous\nmembers in the SGDMA (for a total of 2%), an additional 1% for the classic local police officers in the SGPMA (for a total of 2%), and for an initial 1% for new (“PEPRA”) local police members inboth the SGPOA and SGPMA.
