27.\nAward a Construction Contract to CJ Concrete Construction for the Legacy\nSquare Transportation Improvements Project (Project No. 22-9001(20-AHSC-\n14700)) (Non-General Fund)\nDepartment(s): Public Works Agency\nRecommended Action: 1. Award a construction contract to CJ Concrete\nConstruction, the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid\nin the amount of $1,433,200, subject to change orders in accordance with the\nGreenbook: Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, for\nconstruction of the Legacy Square Transportation Improvements Project, for a\nterm beginning August 20, 2024, and ending upon project completion, and\nauthorize the City Manager to execute the contract.\n2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery\ncost of $1,798,079, which includes $1,433,200 for the construction contract;\n$221,559 for contract administration, inspection, and testing; and a $143,320\nproject contingency for unanticipated or unforeseen work.\n3. Determine that, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA), the recommended actions are exempt from further review pursuant\nto Section 15301(c) of the CEQA guidelines for projects consisting of\nhighways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and\nsimilar facilities. The proposed project continues to meet these parameters of\nthe CEQA guidelines, and Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No.\nER-2023-92 was filed for Project 22-9001.
