7.1\nADOPTION OF 2021-2029 HOUSING ELEMENT AND RELATED ACTIONS: GENERAL\nPLAN AMENDMENT NO. GPA 2024-01 AND ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE\nLYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE IN ORDER TO ADOPT AND IMPLEMENT THE\nLYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN 2021-2029 HOUSING ELEMENT.\nComments:\nStaff recommends that the City Council consider the approval and adoption of 2021-2029\nHousing Element and Related Actions: General Plan Amendment No. GPA 2024-01 and\nOrdinance to amend the Lynwood Municipal Code in order to adopt and implement the\nLynwood General Plan 2021-2029 Housing Element. On July 17, 2024, following a public\nhearing, the Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve General\nPlan Amendment No. GPA 2024-01 and Ordinance amending the Lynwood Municipal\nCode, based on the findings. (CD)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Introduce Ordinance.\n2. Hold a public hearing on the project, the adoption of the 2021-2029 Housing\nElement and related actions.\n3. Introduce for first reading, read by title only, and waive further reading of the\nattached Ordinance No. ___, entitled “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL\nOF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF\nCALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE TO IMPLEMENT\nMINISTERIAL REVIEW OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECTS ON HOUSING\nELEMENT SITES TO IMPLEMENT THE LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN 2021-2029\nHOUSING ELEMENT“.
