19. AUTHORIZE RFP: DATA INTEGRATION AND REAL-TIME DATA VISUALIZATION\nPLATFORM – F2M24-61, RFP2M24-21\nThe Police Department is seeking a qualified technology firm to provide, implement, and\nsupport a data visualization platform for real-time operations of the Police Department.\nThe department aims to capitalize on a wide and expanding range of technologies for\nefficient, effective, and smart policing. A platform that integrates data from various public\nsafety systems with a single point of access to view and analyze large-scale and real-time\ndata will provide greater awareness and intelligence to responding officers and enhance\nsituational awareness and safety.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the distribution of a Request for\nProposals for the purchase of a data integration and real-time data visualization\nplatform for the Police Department with proposals due no later than 10:00 a.m. on\nMonday, September 30, 2024; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to\nfinalize Council’s action.
