15. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: POOL DECK COATING AT THE ALHAMBRA AND\nGRANADA PARK POOLS – F2M23-65, C2M24-7, M2M24-146\nOn January 22, 2024, the City Council awarded contract a contract to Empire\nWaterproofing Inc. for the Alhambra and Granada Park Pools Deck Coating Project in the\namount of $428,445. There were no change orders associated with the Alhambra and\nGranada Park Pools Deck Project. This project has been inspected by staff, and all work\nhas been completed in accordance with the City’s requirements and specifications. As\nsuch, it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept this project as complete.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of Empire Waterproofing\nInc. for the Alhambra and Granada Park Pools Deck Coating Project as complete in the\namount of $428,445; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of\nLos Angeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5 percent\nretention 35 days from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
