29. AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF A NEW RESCUE AMBULANCE – F2M24-6A,\nC2M24-54, M2M24-158\nStaff is seeking to purchase a new ambulance to replace the 18-year-old ambulance\ncurrently in service through a cooperative purchase agreement. A cooperative purchase\nis allowable per Alhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3). Sourcewell awarded contract\n#122123-RVG-3 on March 2, 2024 – a contract that does not expire until February 28,\n2028. Sourcewell bid specifications included an option for purchasing ambulance and\nemergency medical service vehicles. Staff is recommending purchasing the rescue\nambulance utilizing this option.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Professional Sales and Service L.C.\nin an amount not to exceed $426,825.88 for the purchase of a new rescue ambulance;\nauthorize an appropriation in the amount of $78,825.88 from the Capital Outlay Fund; and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
