28. APPROVAL TO AMEND CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES\nFOR VARIOUS CITY PROPERTIES – F2M23-32, C2M23-40, M2M24-157\n13\n8-26-24\nOn July 1, 2023, the City entered into an agreement with Parkwood Landscape\nMaintenance Inc. for professional landscape maintenance and irrigation services in\nvarious areas throughout the City including the Downtown area, Auto Row, City Hall,\nPolice Station, Library, street medians, alleys and park sites. The proposed contract\namendment clarifies payment obligations to the vendor and contract extension terms. All\nother provisions to the contract shall remain the same.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a contract amendment, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of\nAlhambra and Parkwood Landscape Maintenance Inc. to clarify the contract amount is for\n$465,660.00 annually (or $931,320 for two years) for the period of July 1, 2023 through\nJune 30, 2025, with an option to extend an additional two years and an option to extend\none year thereafter, subject to satisfactory performance; authorize, if requested, a one-\ntime 5% CPI increase beginning as early as year three of the contract; authorize the City\nManager to execute extensions; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to\nfinalize Council’s action.
