20. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: 6th STREET SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT-\nPHASE II – F2M21-47, C2M23-79, M2M24-148\nOn October 9, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to Ramona Inc. for the Sixth\nStreet Sewer Main Replacement Project - Phase 2 in the amount of $1,168,950.00. There\nwere two authorized change orders during the project. The change orders were to repair\nthe damaged sewer main at 803 South Olive Avenue, asphalt trench repair due to water\nmain leak on 4th Street, and also included various miscellaneous items credited to City.\nThe change order increased the total amount of the contract by $39,209.61, for a total\nproject cost of $1,208,159.61. The project has been completed in accordance with the\nCity’s requirements and specifications. As such, it would be appropriate for the City\nCouncil to accept the project as complete and instruct the City Clerk that the Notice of\nCompletion be filed with the County of Los Angeles Recorder’s Office.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of Ramona Inc. for the\nSixth Street Sewer Main Replacement Project - Phase 2 as complete in the amount of\n$1,208,159.61; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of Los\nAngeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the five percent retention\n35 days from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and direct staff to undertake the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
