5. AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR THE\nDEVELOPMENT OF THE FREMONT POCKET PARK PROJECT – F2M24-57,\nRFP2M24-18\nStaff is seeking professional engineering and design services to provide plans,\nspecifications and bid documentation for the Fremont Pocket Park Project. The overall\ngoal of this project is to add more green space within the City. The pocket park will include\nturf, seating, shade cover, California native trees, water re-capture features and drought-\ntolerant plants. The project is funded by the State of California Department of Parks and\nRecreation.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize staff to circulate a Request for\nProposals to provide design, specifications, and bid documentation for the Fremont Pocket\nPark Project; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
