8. APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF THE 2021 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY PROGRAM (SHSP) GRANT\nTHROUGH AGREEMENT NO. 4222 WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES' CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICE\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to execute Agreement No. 4222 with the County of Los Angeles’ Chief\nExecutive Office (CEO) to accept previously awarded pass through public safety grant funding; and,\n2. Accept grant funding of $57,000 from the State Homeland Security Program (SHSP), which was\npreviously awarded in 2021, to purchase public safety equipment; and,\n3. Amend the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget by increasing appropriations by $57,000 in Account No. 265-\n85-866-6040.10 (Grants, Fire, State Homeland Security Program, Other Contract Services\n[expenditures]) and $57,000 in Account No. 265-99-4198.18 (Grants, State Homeland Security Program\n[revenue]); and,\n4. Take such additional, related action(s) that may be desirable.
