9) CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES\nAGREEMENT WITH BEAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC., DBA BEARCOM TO UPDATE, REPLACE,\nAND INCREASE SECURITY MEASURES FOR THE SAN FERNANDO POLICE FACILITY\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Approve a First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Bear\nCommunications Inc. dba BearCom (Contract No. 2041(a)) to increase the not-to-exceed\namount by $133,353 from $776,709 to $910,062 to replace the Department’s outdated and\nnon-supported security camera system and access control system;\nSpecial and Regular Meeting Notice and Agenda – September 3, 2024\nb. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to utilize $133,353 from the 2022 Urban Area\nSecurity Initiative Grant for the agreement with Bear Communications, Inc. to install and\nmaintain the replacement surveillance and access control system; and\nc. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to make non-substantive changes and execute all\nrelated agreements.
