15.c OATHS OF OFFICE. (0430-65)\nCity Manager Hail introduced Carol Seabury.\n\nThe Ceremonial Oath of Office for Carol Seabury - District 1 was administered by\nPrior Councilmember Hazel Bailey and she was pinned by Duane Snider.\n\nCity Clerk Kelly presented Councilmember Seabury with her Certificate of\nElection.\n\nCouncilmember Seabury expressed her thanks and appreciation to her\nsupporters.\n\nCity Manager Hall introduced Mitch McKay\n\nThe Oath of Office for Mitch McKay - District 3 was administered by City Clerk\nKelly and he was pinned by his wife, Suzanne Parish-McKay.\n\nCity Clerk Kelly presented Councilmember McKay with his Certificate of Election.\nCouncilmember McKay thanked everyone for their attendance.\nCity Manager Hall introduced Paloma Aguirre.\n\nThe Ceremonial Oath of Office for Paloma Aguirre was administered by Nora\nVargas, Vice Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, and she was\npinned by her husband, Delio Baclaski.\n\nCity Clerk Kelly presented Mayor Aguirre with her Certificate of Election.\n\nMayor Aguirre thanked Vice Chair Vargas and said it was an honor to be sworn\nin by the first Latina District 1 Supervisor and future Chair of the County Board of\nSupervisor. She acknowledged her family who were not able to attend but were\nwatching online. She thanked City staff for putting the event together, the\nSheriff's deputies for keeping the community safe, and Novo Brazil for opening\ntheir doors for the event. She also thanked and recognized all the candidates for\nrunning for office. She congratulated her new Council colleagues and looks\nforward to working with them on improving the quality of life for all Imperial Beach\nresidents. She also recognized her husband, Delio, for his unconditional support,\nand thanked all her supporters who assisted her during her successful campaign.\nShe thanked the community for entrusting her with the great honor and\nresponsibility as Mayor.\n\nThe new members were seated at the dais.
