OB3. Approve the San Dimas High School Homecoming Parade\nRECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve the annual San Dimas High School Homecoming Parade through the\ndowntown area for this year (2024) and future years with the following conditions:\na. The San Dimas High School (SDHS) and/or Bonita Unified School District\n(BUSD) contribute their fair share in the event’s cost by paying for the traffic\ncontrol consultant services ($4,000 for 2024).\nb. Require the San Dimas High School to comply with the Special Event Permit\nConditions of Approval which shall include, but not be limited to the following:\ni. Provide supervising adult monitors to assist with managing the parade\nparticipants before, during, and after the event.\ni . Notify all impacted businesses and residents along the parade route at\nleast 7 days in advance of the scheduled event.\n2. Authorize City Staff to assist with traffic control before, during, and after the event. The\nCity shall continue to subsidize this cost from the General Fund.\n3. Authorize the City to pay for Sheriff’s Department staff to assist with the event. The\nCity shall continue to subsidize this cost from the General Fund.
