CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-217,\nAPPROVING FUND TRANSFER AGREEMENT NO. 2024MP76 FOR\nTHE SAFE, CLEAN WATER (SCW) PROGRAM WITH THE LOS\nANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT TO RECEIVE\nANNUAL FUNDING FOR WATER QUALITY PROJECTS AND\nPROGRAMS\nIn November 2018, voters approved the Safe, Clean Water (SCW)\nProgram, a special parcel tax based on impermeable areas within the\njurisdiction of the Flood Control District. The SCW Program aims to\nimprove water quality while also providing additional benefits, such as\nincreasing water supply and investing in the health and well-being of Los\nAngeles County communities. The City’s 2024-2025 portion of the parcel\ntax is estimated to be $440,000.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-217 to approve Transfer Agreement No.\n2024MP76 for the Safe Clean Water Program with the Los Angeles\nCounty Flood Control District to receive annual SCW Program\nfunding for water quality projects and programs; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute\nthe agreement.
