C. LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE RESOLUTION\nPACKET\nThe League of California Cities will consider a resolution at its annual\nconference on October 18, 2024. The League would like each member city to\nestablish a position on the resolution prior to the annual meeting and provide\ndirection to the voting delegate. The City Council appointed Mayor John Wu as\nthe Delegate and Councilmember Tony Ding as the Alternate to serve as the\nCity’s voting delegate to the League of California Cities. There is no fiscal impact\nrelated to this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council give approval for the voting delegate\nand voting alternate to use their discretion to vote on the proposed resolution.\nAlternative Recommendation\nAlternatively, the City Council can choose to pull the item from the Consent\nCalendar and select from the following actions:\n1. Direct the voting delegate and voting alternate to vote in support of the\nproposed resolution.\n2. Direct the voting delegate and voting alternate to vote against the\nproposed resolution.
