J. FIREWORK DISPLAY PERMIT – GABRIELINO HIGH SCHOOL\nFireworks & Stage FX America, on behalf of Gabrielino High School, has made\napplication to the San Gabriel Fire Department for a Fireworks permit to\nconduct a fireworks display on school property on October 18, 2024. The\ndisplay is to begin at 8:00 P.M. and last for approximately two minutes. Pursuant\nto San Gabriel Municipal Code Title IX, Sections 96.21 – 96.23, City Council\napproval is required to issue a permit on approval and recommendation of the\nFire Chief for pyrotechnic displays. A fee of $81 is due at the time of permit\nissuance per the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Master Fee Schedule. No Fire\nDepartment overtime expense is anticipated for this event.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire\nMarshal to issue a Fireworks Permit to Fireworks & Stage FX America, on behalf\nof Gabrielino High School, contingent on meeting the conditions of the\napplication.
