15. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: ALMANSOR GYMNASIUM WINDOW REPLACEMENT\nPROJECT – F2M23-77, C2M24-11, M2M24-175\nOn February 26, 2024, the City Council awarded contract C2M24-11 to First Trade LLC\n(dba YMC) for $249,500 for the Almansor Gymnasium Window Replacement Project.\nThere were two change orders to the project. The change orders included: Removal of a\nline to no longer include the Activity Room windows and Tinted glass for the north side\nwindows and frosted glass for the ground level windows. The change orders total a\nreduction of $20,165, which brings the contract to $229,335. Staff has inspected this\nproject, and all work has been completed in accordance with the City’s requirements and\nspecifications. As such, it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept this project\nas complete.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of First Trade LLC (dba YMC)\nfor the Almansor Gymnasium Window Replacement Project as complete in the amount of\n$229,335; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of Los\nAngeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5 percent retention 35\ndays from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to undertake the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
