5. ACCEPT CALIFORNIA LIBRARY SERVICES ACT (CLSA) DISTRIBUTED FUNDS\nFROM THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LIBRARY COOPERATIVE (SCLC) FOR\nELECTRONIC RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS – F2M24-17, M2M24-169\nDuring the May 29, 204 meeting of SCLC, the administrative council voted to approve\n$365,773 in CLSA roll over funds to be allocated as one-time distribution to SCLC member\nlibraries to use on electronic resources. Based on a population-based formula, Alhambra’s\ndistribution is $6,428. These funds will be utilized to the Overdrive/Libby platform to\npurchase e-books and e-audiobooks for the Library’s digital collection and is intended for\npublic use. The funds will be expended in FY 2024-2025.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept $6,428 from the Southern California\nLibrary Cooperative for the California Library Services Act fund distribution; appropriate\nrevenue and expenditure funds in the amount of $6,428; and, direct staff to undertake the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
