20. AWARD CONTRACT: ALMANSOR PARK GYMNASIUM EXTERIOR PAINTING\nPROJECT – F2M24-59, N2M24-102, C2M24-61, M2M24-180\nOn August 26, 2024, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the Almansor Park Gymnasium Exterior Painting Project. On September 12, 2024, the\nCity Clerk received nine bids for the Project ranging from $97,800 (Tom’s Construction\nInc.) to $281,115 (Ambit Construction & Design, Inc.). The bid received from Tom’s\nConstruction Inc. is the lowest responsive bid. Staff reviewed Tom’s Construction’s bid\nand found it to be in full compliance and conformance with the Project’s specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Tom’s Construction Inc. in the amount\nof $97,800.00 for the Almansor Park Gymnasium Exterior Painting Project; and, direct\nstaff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
