ANNUAL REPORT OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT USE BY THE BUENA PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT\nPER CALIFORNIA ASSEMBLY BILL 481\nIn accordance with AB 481 and Policy 409, a military equipment report must be submitted to the City\nCouncil annually for each type of military equipment approved within one year of authorization, and\nannually thereafter, for as long as the military equipment is available for use. In compliance with AB\n481, outlined below is the 2023 Annual Military Equipment Report. The annual report is attached\n(Attachment 2), as well as a proposed updated Policy 409 (Attachment 3).\n— Recommended Action: 1) Receive and file the Buena Park Police Department’s 2023 Annual\nMilitary Equipment Report as required by California Assembly Bill 481.
