9D. AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE CITYWIDE CONCRETE REPAIR\nPROJECT\nTwelve bids for the Citywide Concrete Repair Project were opened on September 5,\n2024. Based on the post-bid analysis of the bids received, staff has determined the bid\nsubmitted by CJ Concrete Construction, Inc. to be the lowest responsible and responsive\nbid at $165,300.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”), Class 1, and 15301(c) as repair, maintenance, and minor alteration of\nexisting streets, sidewalks, gutters, and similar facilities; and\n2. Award a construction contract for the Citywide Concrete Repair Project to CJ Concrete\nConstruction, Inc. for the bid amount of $165,300 and reject all other bids; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to bind the City of Stanton and CJ Concrete Construction,\nInc. in a contract for the construction; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager to approve contract change orders, not to exceed\n$39,700.
