9. ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS\nFOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 ANNUAL STREET IMPROVEMENT\nPROJECT (PW-701-23); AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO ALL\nAMERICAN ASPHALT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,176,900.00; APPROVE\nADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION EXPENDITURES NOT TO EXCEED\n$117,690.00, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 10% OF THE CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT AMOUNT; AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE\nALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS; AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY CLERK TO\nRECORD THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE\nWORK BY THE INTERIM PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt the Resolution to:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024\nAnnual Street Improvement Project (City Project No. PW-701-23);\n2. Award a construction contract to All American Asphalt in the amount of\n$1,176,900.00;\n3. Approve additional construction expenditures not to exceed $117,690.00,\nwhich is approximately 10% of the construction contract amount;\n4. Authorize the City Manager to Execute all Contract Documents; and\n5. Authorize the City Clerk to Record the Notice of Completion upon\nAcceptance of the Work by the Interim Public Works Director\nStaff Report
