G. Request for All Way Stop at Olney Street and Marybeth Avenue\nAt the July 11, 2024, Traffic Commission Meeting, staff presented\nrecommendations and options for traffic improvements at Olney Street and\nMarybeth Avenue. After discussion and presentation of the item, the Traffic\nCommission approved the staff recommendations. Public Works Field Services\nstaff will complete all the recommended items. If necessary, additional materials and\nsupplies may be purchased ataminimal expense to complete the recommended work\n5\nand staff would utilize approved Fiscal Year 2024- 2025 Traffic Signs and Markers\navailable funds.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve the following Traffic Commission\nrecommendations:\n1. INSTALL NEW STOP SIGN ( R1- 1): Install New Stop Sign ( Rl- 1) on Marybeth\nAvenue for southbound traffic approaching Olney Street, at the northwest corner\nof the intersection.\n2. INSTALL STOP BAR AND " STOP" PAVEMENT LEGEND: Install Stop Bar\nAnd " Stop" Pavement Legend adjacent to the new Stop Sign along Marybeth at\nthe intersection with Olney Street.\n3. INSTALL 20- FEET OF RED CURB: Install 20- Feet of Red Curb at the northeast\ncorner of the intersection of Olney Street and Marybeth Avenue.\n4. INSTALL " 25" PAVEMENT LEGEND FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC: Install\n25" Pavement Legend for eastbound traffic approximately 75- feet east of the\nintersection at Olney Street and Vane Avenue, for vehicles approaching the\nintersection of Olney Street and Marybeth Avenue.
