D. Adopt Resolution No. 2024- 45 Authorizing Submittal of Application( s) for all\nCalRecycle Grants for which City of Rosemead is Eligible\nOn October 22, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2019- 58 authorizing\nthe submittal of applications to CalRecycle for all grants for which the City of\nRosemead is eligible. The CalRecycle grant program allows the State of California\nState) to administer various grant programs ( Grants) in furtherance of the state\nefforts to reduce, recycle and reuse solid waste generated in the state, thereby\npreserving landfill capacity, and protecting public health and safety and the\nenvironment. The authorizations adopted by Resolution No. 2019- 58 are effective for\nfive years from the date of adoption.\nThe City recently submitted a CalRecycle Household Hazardous Waste\nDiscretionary Grant application for Cycle 43 ( Small Projects). The City' s existing\nresolution to authorize the submittal of applications for Calrecycle grants will no\nlonger be effective beginning October 22, 2024. CalRecycle informed City staff\nthat a new resolution would need to be adopted and be effective through the grant\naward term.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024- 45, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL\nOF APPLICATION( S) FOR ALL CALRECYCLE GRANTS\nFOR WHICH CITY OF ROSEMEAD IS ELIGIBLE\n4
