K. Request for All Way Stop at Marshall Street and Chariette Avenue\nAt the July 11, 2024, Traffic Commission Meeting, staff presented recommendations\nand options for traffic improvements at Marshall Street and Chariette Avenue. After\ndiscussion and presentation of the item, the Traffic Commission approved the staff\nrecommendations. Public Works Field Services staff will complete all the\nrecommended items. If necessary, additional materials and supplies may be\npurchased at a minimal expense to complete the recommended work and staff would\nutilize approved Fiscal Year 2024- 2025 Traffic Signs and Markers available funds.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve the following Traffic Commission\nrecommendations:\n1. REMOVE AND REPLACE STOP SIGN ( R1 — 1): Remove and replace faded\nstop sign with new Stop Sign ( R1 — 1) located on the east side of Chariette\nAvenue, at the intersection with Marshall Street, for northbound traffic.\n2. INSTALL " CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP" PLAQUE ( W4 — 4P):\nInstall " Cross Traffic Does Not Stop" plaque ( W4 — 4P) beneath existing stop\nsign that is located on the east side of Chariette Avenue, at the intersection with\nMarshall Street, for northbound traffic.\n3. INSTALL RED REFLECTIVE STRIP: Install red reflective strip on the\nexisting stop signpost, located on the east side of Chariette Avenue, at the\nintersection with Marshall Street for northbound traffic.\n4. REFRESH " STOP" AND STOP BAR PAVEMENT MARKINGS: Refresh Stop\nBar and " STOP" pavement legend markings located along Chariette Avenue, atthe\nintersection with Marshall Avenue, for northbound traffic.\n5. INSTALL RED CURB: Install 20- feet of red curb along the south side of\nMarshall Street, west of Chariette Avenue. The addition of this red curb will\nimprove the line of sight at the intersection for vehicles approaching Marshall\nStreet from Chariette Avenue.\n6. INSTALL RED CURB: Install an additional 15- feet of red curb east of the fire\nhydrant that is located along the south side of Marshall Street, west of Chariette\nAvenue.\n12
