F. Recovered Organic Waste Products Procurement Services — Award of Contract to\nAgromin\nSenate Bill ( SB) 1383, the Short - Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Act, was passed\nby the California State legislature and signed by Governor Brown in 2016. It\nestablished statewide targets to reduce the disposal of organic waste and mitigate the\neffects of climate change by reducing methane emissions. hi accordance with SB\n1383, local jurisdictions are required to procure a specified amount of recovered\norganic waste products annually.\nA Request for Proposals ( RFP) was posted to the City' s PlanetBids vendor portal on\nthe proposals for general qualifications, relevant experience, proposed staffing,\npricing, proposed approach, responsiveness, and references.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to execute a thirty- three ( 33) month agreement with\nAgromin for Year One ( October 8, 2024 to June 30, 2025) not -to -exceed amount\nof $100, 436. 40, a Year Two ( July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026) not -to -exceed amount\nof $$62, 792. 51, and a Year Three ( July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027) not -to -exceed\namount of $62, 792. 51 for a contract total in the amount of $226, 022, with the\noption for up to two one- year extensions which will be at the City Manager' s\ndetermination to extend on behalf of the City Council, based on services\nprovided.\n2. Authorize the Director of Public Works to approve recovered organic waste\nproduct orders on behalf of the City of Rosemead.
