CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 951 AMENDING TITLE 9 (ZONING AND\nPLANNING REGULATIONS) BELL GARDENS MUNICIPAL CODE TO REGULATE\nCERTAIN ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS\nOrdinance No. 951 would regulate certain electronic display signs, providing location restrictions,\nlight pollution control, content guidelines, maintenance requirements, and safety mechanisms,\namong other things, balancing the benefits of modern advertising technologies and the local\neconomy.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council waive full reading and introduce Ordinance No.\n951, by title only amending Title 9 (Zoning and Planning) of the Bell Gardens Municipal Code by\nadding regulations for certain electronic display signs.
