AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION\nSERVICES FOR THE SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ON SIERRA VISTA\nAVENUE – F2M24-65, RFP2M24-24\n5\n10-14-24\nThe Sewer Master Plan identified the Sewer Main Replacement Project on Sierra Vista\nAvenue between Los Higo Street and San Marino Avenue. The existing 8-inch pipe is\nexpected to be surcharged during existing and ultimate peak wet weather conditions. The\nMaster Plan recommends replacement of the existing sewer main with a larger diameter\nsewer main. As part of the City’s ongoing Capital Improvement Program, this project will\nprovide engineering design, plans, and preparation of bid specifications for the\nreplacement of approximately 1,065 feet of existing 8-inch sewer main with a larger\ncapacity sewer main.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Request for\nProposals for Professional Engineering Design and Construction Services for the Sewer\nMain Replacement Project on Sierra Vista Avenue, with proposals due no later than 4:00\np.m. on November 7, 2027; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
