E. FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 YEAR-END APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENTS\n[RESOLUTION NO. 24-63]\nAs the City’s Fiscal Year 2023-2024 financial books are being closed, it becomes\nnecessary to make budget adjustments prior to the forthcoming audit. These\nadjustments are necessary to allocate additional funds to general fund\ndepartments or other funds that have surpassed their initially allocated or\namended budgets. This report seeks the approval of the City Council for these\nbudget adjustments, which may involve transferring appropriations between\ngeneral fund departments or appropriating funds to a fund that has exceeded\nits budget appropriations. General fund departments and funds that exceed\napproved budgets are disclosed in the audited financial statements.\nAdditionally, this report provides detailed explanations for each of the\nproposed adjustments. Budgeted funds will be adjusted to bring all general\nfund departments and City funds within approved budgets.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-63 approving\nproposed amendments to the annual budget for fiscal year 2023-2024.
