(6)\nBPW20240585\nBOE + BSS\nCD 11\nREQUEST FOR REVOCABLE PERMIT – 313 EAST GRAND BOULEVARD\nRecommending the Board:\n1. AUTHORIZE the City Engineer to issue a Revocable Permit (RPermit) to\nencroach within the public way behind the curb along Grand Boulevard,\nWindward Avenue, and Riviera Avenue, abutting the property at 313 East\nGrand Boulevard, subject to the conditions listed:\nBPW20240585\nBOE + BSS\nCD 11\nREQUEST FOR REVOCABLE PERMIT – 313 EAST GRAND BOULEVARD\nRecommending the Board:\n1. AUTHORIZE the City Engineer to issue a Revocable Permit (RPermit) to\nencroach within the public way behind the curb along Grand Boulevard,\nWindward Avenue, and Riviera Avenue, abutting the property at 313 East\nGrand Boulevard, subject to the conditions listed:\nThe property owner(s) shall execute the attached Waiver of Damages\nAgreement and submit the notarized copy to the Bureau of Engineering\n(BOE), West Los Angeles (WLA) District Office, 1828 Sawtelle Boulevard,\n3rd Floor, RPermit Counter, for review prior to recording with the County\nRecorder.\nThe property owner(s) shall provide liability and property damage\ninsurance satisfactory to the City Attorney for coverage in the amount of at\nleast $1,000,000. Evidence of insurance must be presented annually to the\nBoard.\nThe plans for the landscaping and irrigation shall be reviewed and approved\nby the Bureau of Street Services (BSS), 1149 South Broadway, 4th floor.\nThe property owner(s) shall obtain a City Engineer’s RPermit at 1828\nSawtelle Boulevard, 3rd Floor, RPermit Counter, or apply online at\nhttps://engpermits.lacity.org/rpermits when Condition Nos. 1 through 3 have\nbeen satisfied.\nIf the existing planters become deteriorated or in need of repair, they will be\nrequired to be removed. It should be noted that the BOE is in support of\nstandard ongrade parkways along the curb. However, if new planters are\nproposed instead of the standard ongrade parkways, then they shall be\ninstalled with the BOE approved materials and be subject to the\nrequirements of the RPermit Policy for Sidewalk Encroachments under a\nnew RPermit application. The design and construction of the new planters\nwithin the public way shall comply with appropriate permit procedures\nincluding any necessary special inspection. The property owner(s) shall\nobtain an APermit to do the construction from the WLA District Office, 1828\nSawtelle Boulevard, 3rd Floor, or apply online at\nhttps://engpermits.lacity.org/apermits.\nThe property owner(s) or applicant shall submit a Customer Service Request\n(CSR) to the BOE WLA District office, with the most recent pictures of the\nplanters every six months after the RPermit issuance. The BOE WLA\nDistrict office shall forward these pictures to BSS and the Bureau of Contract\nAdministration if they determine an investigation or inspection is required. A\nCSR can be submitted by using the following link:\nhttps://engpermits.lacity.org/public.\nThe conditions herein must be accomplished, and the permit shall be issued\nwithin one year of notification of the approval of this report.\nThe property owner(s) or applicant shall submit a Customer Service Request\n(CSR) to the BOE WLA District office, with the most recent pictures of the\nplanters every six months after the RPermit issuance.
