AUTHORIZATION TO AMEND EXISTING ~CONSTRUCTION ~AND ~~ CONSTRUCTION\nMANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION CONTRACTS TO INCREASE COMPENSATION FOR\nTHE CLAREMONT BOULEVARD AND MONTE VISTA AVENUE ACCESSIBILITY PROJECT\n(FUNDING SOURCES: PROPOSITION C & MEASURE R FUNDS)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council:\nA. Authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the existing\ncontract with Gentry Brothers, Inc. adding an _ additional $55,000 in\ncompensation, increasing the total contract amount to $699,375 to complete\nthe Claremont Boulevard and Monte Vista Avenue Accessibility Project;\nB. Authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the existing\ncontract with LAW Associates, Inc. adding an _ additional $44,800 in\ncompensation, increasing the total contract amount to $104,405 for\nconstruction management and inspection services;\nC. Appropriate $55,000 from the Proposition C Fund and $44,800 from the\nMeasure R Fund to fund the contracts; and\nD. Find this item is exempt from environmental review under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA).
