8.6 AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ACE ELECTRIC INC. FOR THE LYNWOOD CITY PARK\nBASEBALL FIELD LIGHTING PROJECT CIP NO. 3533.68.148\nComments:\nThe City of Lynwood aims to create a clean, safe, and vibrant community that provides\naccess to outstanding social, cultural, recreational, educational, and economic\nopportunities. Lynwood City Park, located within the city, features three baseball fields\nand an open space area. The field referenced in this project is located on the park's west\nside. The Request for Proposals (RFP) sought proposals from qualified contractors to\nrepair and retrofit 20 existing light poles around the baseball field and install two (2) new\nlight poles on the baseball field’s southeast side. After reviewing the submitted proposals,\nstaff is recommending the award of the Lynwood City Park Baseball Field Lighting Project\nto Ace Electric Inc. in the amount of $1,075,600. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A\nCONTRACT TO ACE ELECTRIC INC. FOR THE LYNWOOD CITY PARK BASEBALL\nFIELD LIGHTING PROJECT CIP NO. 3533.68.148; AUTHORIZING THE CITY\nMANAGER TO APPROVE AGREEMENT AMENDMENTS RELATED TO THE PROJECT\nAND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT”
