Agenda Item 4
8.4 SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE SECURITY SERVICES AGREEMENT\nComments:\nThe City is in need of continuing uninterrupted professional security patrol services to the\nCity’s parks and public facilities. The current security services agreement expires on\nNovember 17, 2024. Unexpected delays in developing the new security services Request\nfor Proposal (RFP), along with a large number of proposal responses received, have\npushed the decision process for selecting the new provider past the expiration of the\ncurrent security services agreement. Staff is requesting approval of a short-term\nextension to allow for enough time to properly analyze the received proposals, make a\nrecommendation to the City Council and then transition into the next selected provider.\n(REC)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled; “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING\nTHE MAYOR OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE, IN A FORM SATISFACTORY TO THE\nCITY ATTORNEY, THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE SECURITY SERVICES\nAGREEMENT WITH PROFESSIONAL SECURITY CONSULTANTS EXTENDING THE\nAGREEMENT THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2025”.
