8.5 ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSITION A DISCRETIONARY\nINCENTIVE GRANT PROGRAM MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR\nCOLLECTING AND REPORTING DATA FOR THE NATIONAL TRANSIT DATABASE\nFOR REPORT YEAR 2022\nComments:\nThe City of Lynwood has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the\nLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) for the Proposition\nA Discretionary Incentive Grant Program. This agreement focuses on funding the\nreporting of vehicle miles traveled, enhancing data collection and supporting better\ntransportation planning. As part of LACMTA's Fiscal Year 2023-24 allocations, funds will\nbe distributed to cities that voluntarily reported data to the National Transit Database\n(NTD) for FY 2021-22. Having successfully submitted its data and met all NTD and\nFederal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements, Lynwood is set to invoice LACMTA\nfor $103,345 in Federal funds. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING\nAND APPROVING THE PROPOSITION A DISCRETIONARY INCENTIVE GRANT\nPROGRAM MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR COLLECTING AND\nREPORTING DATA FOR THE NATIONAL TRANSIT DATABASE FOR REPORT YEAR\n2022”
