12. Authorization to Purchase Replacement Equipment, Unit #17 and #18,\nChangeable Message Sign Boards\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· Utilizing section 3.12.060 - G of Town of Yucca Valley Municipal\nCode, Purchasing Regulations, Exceptions to Competitive Bidding\nRequirements.\n· Authorizes the purchase in the amount not to exceed $39,468.83\nto Tops N Barricades for two (2) Changeable Message Signs\n(CMS), replacement of units #17 and #18 for the Street Division.\n· Declares unit #17, 2012 Sunray Message Board, and Unit #18,\n2014 Sunray Message Board, as surplus; and approve the sale of\nsurplus equipment, authorizing the Town Manager to\nauction/sell the vehicles through a public bidding/auction\nprocess or through disposition through auto dismantling\nservices.\n· Authorizes the Town Manager to execute all vehicle and\nequipment purchase/sales documentation and selling of the\nsurplus vehicles and equipment.
