Authorization to Purchase Replacement Fleet Vehicle, Vehicle #95, Ford F350 SD,\nAnimal Control Truck, Box and Associated Equipment\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· Utilizes section 3.12.060 - G of Town of Yucca Valley Municipal\nCode pertaining to Purchasing Policy, Exceptions to Competitive\nBidding Requirements.\n· Authorizes the purchase in the amount not to exceed\n$133,643.77 to/from Fiesta Ford for purchasing a Ford F350 with\nAnimal Control compartment/box, replacement of unit #95.\n· Declares Unit #95, 2008 Ford E-350 SD Animal Control Wagon, as\nsurplus, and approve the sale of surplus vehicle, authorizing the\nTown Manager to auction/sell the vehicle through a public\nbidding/auction process or through disposition through auto\ndismantling services.\n· Authorizes the Town Manager or designee to execute all vehicle\nand equipment purchase and or sales paperwork and disposing\nof the surplus vehicle.

21. Burrtec Agreement- Procurement of Recovered Organic Waste Products\nRecommendation:\n1. That the Town Council approves an agreement with Burrtec\nWaste and Recycling Services, LLC to provide the procurement of\nrecovered organic waste products, on behalf of the Town, as\nrequired by SB 1383, and\n2. Authorizes the Town Manager to sign all related documents in a\nform approved by the Town Attorney and make any non-\nsubstantive changes, and\n3. Amends the FY2024-25 General Fund Budget to appropriate an\nadditional $20,000 in Professional Services - Solid Waste Division\nto accommodate the annual procurement costs as identified in\nExhibit A.

Correction of Amendment Numbers to Agreement with HMC Architects for\nArchitectural and Engineering Services – Yucca Valley Aquatics and Recreation\nCenter\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council approves the correction of Amendment numbers\nto the 2022 agreement with HMC Architects for Architectural and\nEngineering Design services and authorizes the Town Manager to sign\nthe correctly numbered amendment.

As Needed On-Call Traffic Engineering Services, Award of Professional\nDesign/Services Agreement, Kimley-Horn, Infrastructure Engineers and TJKM\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council approves the professional design/services\nagreements for As Needed On-Call Traffic Engineering Services with\nKimley-Horn, Infrastructure Engineers, and TJKM, in the amount not to\nexceed $100,000.00 for each firm, and authorizing the Mayor, Town\nManager, and Town Attorney to sign all documents necessary to\nimplement the services.

Town Project No. 5009: California Welcome Center Roof Replacement Project\nAward of Construction Contract\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· Finds and declares that the bid submitted by Estate Design and\nConstruction Inc., was non-responsive as the bid did not meet\nthe license requirements for contractors eligible to perform the\nwork as specified in the Town’s approved Plans and\nSpecifications and rejects the bid submitted by Estate Design\nand Construction Inc.\n· Awards the construction contract to Letner Roofing Company, in\nthe amount of $178,100.00 to the California Welcome Center\nRoof Replacement Project, Project No. 5009.\n· Authorizes construction, a construction contingency in the\namount of $17,900, and inspection costs in total amount of\n$206,000.00.\n· Authorizes the Mayor, Town Manager, and Town Attorney to\nexecute the agreement, and authorizes the Town Manager or\ndesignee to expend contingency funds, if necessary, for project\ncompletion.
