8. Town Project No. 5009: California Welcome Center Roof Replacement Project\nAward of Construction Contract\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· Finds and declares that the bid submitted by Estate Design and\nConstruction Inc., was non-responsive as the bid did not meet\nthe license requirements for contractors eligible to perform the\nwork as specified in the Town’s approved Plans and\nSpecifications and rejects the bid submitted by Estate Design\nand Construction Inc.\n· Awards the construction contract to Letner Roofing Company, in\nthe amount of $178,100.00 to the California Welcome Center\nRoof Replacement Project, Project No. 5009.\n· Authorizes construction, a construction contingency in the\namount of $17,900, and inspection costs in total amount of\n$206,000.00.\n· Authorizes the Mayor, Town Manager, and Town Attorney to\nexecute the agreement, and authorizes the Town Manager or\ndesignee to expend contingency funds, if necessary, for project\ncompletion.
