12. CONSIDERATION OF AN AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH\nCOMMERCIAL DOOR COMPANY, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $ 208,294\nFOR THE FIRE STATION BAY APPARATUS DOOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AND\nFIND THAT THE PROJECT IS CATEGORICALLY EXEMPT FROM CEQA (SECTION\n15301)\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Fire Station Bay Apparatus Door\nReplacement Project (Project);\n2. Find that the Project is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301\nof the State CEQA Guidelines — Class 1, Existing Facilities;\n3. Appropriate an additional $73,295 to the Fire Station Bay Apparatus Door\nReplacement Project from the General Fund 101, increasing the budget from\n$135,000 to $208,295, for a construction contract of $208,295 which includes the\nbid price of $198,375, and a 5% construction contingency of $9,920; and\n4. Awarding a construction contract to Commercial Door Company, Inc. for\nconstruction services for door replacement in an amount not to exceed $208,295,\nincluding the proposed bid amount of $198,375 and a 5% contingency of $9,920;\nand\n5.
