ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARDED BY THE STATE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC\nSAFETY FOR TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT; AND\nAPPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 FOR POLICE\nOVERTIME, TRAVEL, TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES.\nComment: Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the acceptance of\ngrant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and authorize the\nChief of Police to execute and submit all documents needed for the administration of\nthe Selective Traffic Enforcement Program grant, including applications, payment\nrequests, and agreements for Police Department sobriety enforcement operations,\nother OTS traffic operations, training/travel, and appropriate funds in the amount of\n$100,000.\nAPPROVAL OF:
