Claim Rejections\nStaff recommends that the City Council reject the following claim and\ndirect staff to send the appropriate notice of rejection to claimant: Mireya\nGuerrero The claimant alleges property damage and bodily injuries.\nThis government claim, and all government claims, should be considered\nas potential lawsuits in the future. Thus, it is requested that all City Staff,\nthe Mayor and all Council Members refrain from making any statements,\nwhether public or private in nature. It is important that no statements be\nmade so as to not prejudice this claim in any way which can happen if\npublic or private comments are made about this claim by City staff or\nCouncil Members.\nSTAFF REPORT

4. Authorize the Addition of Two (2) New Police Vehicles to the City's Lease\nProgram\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the addition of two (2) new police vehicles to the Cityâs\nlease program; and,\n2. Authorize the Director of Finance to appropriate funds from Fund\nNo. 402 to Acct # 402-50-591-58140-15727 in the amount of\n$22,952.40 for FY 23-24 lease cost and $32,484.88 for the oneâ\ntime purchase for the after-market emergency equipment and make\nnecessary budget adjustment; and\n3. Authorize the Director of Public Works to add two (2) vehicles to the\nlease program and process the necessary documents.\nSTAFF REPORT

Approval of Resolution No. 2023-033 to Update the Classifications to the\nCity of Baldwin Park's Comprehensive Pay Schedule in Accordance with\nCalPERS Established Guidelines\nIt is recommended that the City Council approve and adopt Resolution\nNo. 2023-033 to update the Comprehensive City of Baldwin Park Salary\nSchedule to reflect the following changes, to be effective retroactive to\nJuly 9, 2023: 1. Reinstate the Housing Programs Coordinator job\nclassification and revise the job description; and 2. Add the new Business\nLicense Specialist job classification and establish the job description; and\n3. Add the new Court Services and Crime Data Specialist job\nclassification and establish the job description; and 4. Add the new Victim\nAdvocate and Community Services Specialist job classification and\nestablish the job description; and 5. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer,\nHuman Resources/Risk Manager, and the Department Director to process\nthe Personnel Action Forms and related documents.\nSTAFF REPORT

6. Approval of Resolution No. 2023-032 for a One-Time City Hall Closure\nIt is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve Resolution No. 2023-\n032 entitled, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,\nCalifornia, approving a one-time City Hall closure from December 26,\n2023 through January 4, 2024, and authorizing qualified employees time\noff during the Holidays"; and 2. Approve the cancellation of the City\nCouncil Regular meetings on the following dates: ⢠December 20, 2023 â¢\nJanuary 3, 2024 ⢠July 3, 2024 3. Approve and Adopt Resolution No. 2023-031, nominating a\nCouncilmember to Serve as Board Member to Represent Cities without\nPumping Rights on the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority\nIt is recommended that the City Council nominate a Councilmember to\nserve as the Board Member representing cities without pumping rights on\nthe San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority (WQA) and adopt\nResolution No. 2023-031, the name of the selected nominee will be added\nto the Resolution in a final format with the certified votes and appropriate\nsignatures.\nSTAFF REPORT
