8.\nINTRODUCTION AND CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nLA PUENTE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 10.10.080 (ACCESSORY\nDWELLING UNITS) OF CHAPTER 10.10 (RESIDENTIAL ZONES), ARTICLE 2 (ZONES, ALLOWABLE\nUSES, AND DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN STANDARDS), TITLE 10 (ZONING) OF THE LA PUENTE\nMUNICIPAL CODE, IN ITS ENTIRELY, AND ADOPTING A REVISED SECTION 10.10.080 (ACCESSORY\nDWELLING UNITS AND JUNIOR ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS) TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY WITH\nSTATE LAW\nStaff Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: (1) waive the full reading and introduce\nOrdinance No. 26-992 by title only; (2) Introduce Ordinance No. 26-992, entitled, “An Ordinance of the City\nCouncil of the City of La Puente, California, amending Title 10 (Zoning) of the La Puente Municipal Code\n(“LPMC”) Chapter 10.10 to amend Accessory Dwelling Unit (“ADU”) Provisions to comply with State Law; (3)\nset the date of February 10, 2026, as the date for a public hearing on adoption of the Ordinance; and (4)\napprove and adopt the Notice of Exemption.
