11) DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF ORGANIZING AN ALL-CITIES CANDLE VIGIL TO HONOR\nLIVES LOST IN FEDERAL IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT INCIDENTS\nThis item was agendized by Councilmember Mary Solorio.\nCity Council discussion to provide staff direction to recommend authorizing the organization of\nan all-cities candlelight vigil to honor the lives lost in federal immigration enforcement\nincidents, including the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Designate an appropriate time,\ndate, and location for the vigil, with logistical support from city departments (Public Works,\nPolice, and Parks & Recreation as applicable). Ensure coordination with community\norganizations, faith leaders, and civic groups to promote broad participation and to emphasize\nthe vigil’s focus on unity, remembrance, and shared mourning. Provide direction to staff to\ndevelop event guidelines that ensure safety, accessibility, and respect for all participants while\nmaintaining neutrality regarding public policy positions.

Coordinate all voter education materials with\nthe Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to ensure accuracy and compliance\nwith County and State election guidelines. Utilize multiple outreach methods, including a\ncitywide informational mailer, City website updates, official City social media platforms, and\ncommunity outreach channels. Award a Professional Services Agreement to Mariposa Landscaping Inc. (Contract No. 2472)\nfor Water Facilities and City Easement Landscape Services, at an initial not-to-exceed rate\nof $43,080 with annual consumer price index adjustments up to a three percent increase\nbased on current CPI increase, for a term of three years with two optional 1-year\nextensions;\nb. Authorize the City Manager to approve a contingency amount not to exceed $6,462\n(approximately 15% of the contract amount) for any unforeseen or additional related\nservices; and\nc. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to make non-substantive changes and execute\nthe agreement and all related documents.

Approve Reimbursement Request No. 2 in the amount of $12,293.36 from the Mall\nAssociation for marketing services provided by Yeah, We Get It, in accordance with the\nagreement between the City and the Mall Association (Contract No. 768,); and\nb.
