CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-25,\nAPPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH\nAKITOI LEARNING CENTER, LLC\nStaff is seeking City Council’s approval to enter into a three-year extension\nto the lease agreement between the City and Akitoi Learning Center, LLC,\nfor the premises at 1824 Central Avenue.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-25, approving amendment no. 1 entering into\na three-year extension to the lease agreement with Akitoi Learning\nCenter, LLC, for premises located at 1824 Central Avenue; and\n2. Authorizing the City Manager or designee to execute the lease\namendment.

CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-26,\nAPPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT WITH WEST\nCOAST ARBORIST FOR TREE MAINTENANCE SERVICES\nOn September 11, 2019 the Engineering Department issued a Request for\nProposals (RFP) soliciting Tree Maintenance Services for the City of South\nEl Monte. The three year contract expired November 2022.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt\nResolution No. 23-26, amending the contract with West Coast Arborists for\nan additional three months to complete tree timing work for fiscal\nyear2022/23 and increase the annual budget in the amount of $200,000

CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-27,\nAPPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)\nBETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH EL MONTE AND MVP SOUTH EL\nMONTE I, LLC FOR A PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY\nLOCATED AT 825 LEXINGTON-GALLATIN ROAD ("PROPERTY")\nA Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the proposed\ndevelopment of property located at 825 Lexington-Gallatin Road\n("Property").\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-27, approving the MOU with MVP South El\nMonte I, LLC for a proposed development of property located at 825\nLexington-Gallatin Road ("Property"); and\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 23-28, amending the Cooperative Purchasing\nAgreement with Gametime - Playcore Wisconsin, Inc. for the purchase\nand installation of new playground equipment Shively Park and\nincrease compensation by $44,196.06; and\n2. Approve the use of $44,196.06 of In-Lieu funds; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate a Memorandum of\nUnderstanding with the Valle Lindo School District for a Cost Share\nAgreement to receive reimbursement in the amount of $18,032.00\nfrom the Valle Lindo School District for the project.
