2. Resolution No. 23-03 – Selection of Projects for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-\n2024 (49th) Program Year of the Community Development Block Grant\n(CDBG) Program\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Open the Public Hearing;\n2. Hear the Staff Report;\n3. Solicit input relative to the FY 2023-2024 (49th Year) CDBG Program;\n4. Close the Public Hearing;\n5. Adopt Resolution No. 23-03, approving the 2023-2024 (49th Year) CDBG\nProgram as follows:\na. Housing Rehabilitation ($159,336)\nb. Senior Activities ($25,745); and\n6. Authorize the City Manager or designee to prepare, execute, and submit the\nPlanning Summary, Agreements, and all required documents for the 2023-24\n(49th Year) CDBG Program.\nCOUNCIL CONSENT CALENDAR:\nThe Consent Calendar items listed below are considered and acted upon under one motion unless\nan individual item or items are removed by a Councilmember for further consideration or\nexplanation.\nThere will be no dialogue/debate unless a Council Member requests otherwise on the following\nmatters:

3. Resolution No. 23-04 - A Resolution of the City of Walnut Allowing Certain\nClaims and Demands in the Amount of $1,002,111.75, Demand No. 165737\nthrough No. 165797, Both Inclusive Fiscal Year 2022-23\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 23-04.

4. Resolution No. 23-05 – To Transfer Unclaimed Check Amounts from their\nRespective Fund(s) to the General Fund Pursuant to California Government\nCode Section 50050, and 50053\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve and adopt Resolution No.\n23-05 to transfer unclaimed check amounts from their respective fund(s) to the\nGeneral Fund miscellaneous revenue account 01-0000-3820.

5. Agreement for Vendor Services with Moore United Construction for Walnut\nRanch Park Pickleball Conversion and Tennis Court Renovation\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Approve the Agreement for Vendor Services with Moore United Construction\nin the amount of $178,541.27 for the conversion of one existing tennis court\nto pickleball and the renovation of two remaining tennis courts;\n2. Authorize the City Manager to sign the contract on behalf of the City in\nsubstantially the form attached and in such final form as approved by the City\nAttorney;\n3. Authorize staff to issue change orders not to exceed 20% of the contract\naward amount ($35,708.20) to Moore United Construction; and\n4. Authorize staff to issue a Purchase Order to Moore United Construction in the\namount of $178,541.27.
