7. Approval of the Public Works Vehicle Purchase – 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 with\nUtility Body\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Award a Purchase Contract to Thorson Motor Center for one 2024 GMC Sierra\nExtended Cab 4x2 Truck with Utility Body in the amount of $68,668.69; and\n2. Appropriate $68,700 from General Fund Reserves to 01-9100-8402 for the\npurchase of the vehicle; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to sign a Purchase Contract on behalf of the City\nin such final form as approved by the City Attorney; and\n4. Authorize staff to issue a Purchase Order to Thorson Motor Center in the\namount of $68,668.69

8. Approve the Purchase of Replacement Pine Tree at Fire Station 61\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve the purchase of a replacement pine tree to be installed at Fire Station\n61 on La Puente Road;\n2. Appropriate $31,040 from General Fund Reserves to 01-6206-6290 for the\nremoval of existing tree, purchase and planting of the replacement tree.

9. 2024 Holiday Closure – City Facilities\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the\ncancellation of the November 27, 2024, and December 25, 2024, City Council\nmeetings; and approve the closure of City facilities on December 26, 30, and 31,\n2024 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
