8H. Off-cycle Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget Amendment and Authorization to Purchase Firefighter Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and Rapid Intervention Team Paks. Contact Person: Deputy Fire Chief Sanchez Environmental Considerations: The action being considered by the City Council is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it is not a “project” under Section 15378(b)(5) of CEQA Guidelines. The action involves an organizational or administrative activity of government that will not result in the direct or indirect physical change in the environment. Recommended Action: 1) Adopt Resolution Number 2023-123, titled “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Encinitas, California, Amending the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget”; and 2) Authorize the Encinitas Fire Department to utilize the Request for Proposal approved by Sourcewell awarding Municipal Emergency Services (MES) Contract #032620 to provide for the purchase of Firefighter Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs) and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Paks. 2023-10-25 Item 08H SCBA Replacements
