7. AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR VANDENBERG WELL REHABILITATION PROJECT (CIP NO. 60177) Vandenberg Well is one of the City’s nine active groundwater wells. Vandenberg Well was last rehabilitated in 2010 and is due for rehabilitation. The City retains a list of three prequalified well and pump contractors and requested proposals from each. Three proposals were received with General Pump Company as the lowest responsible bidder. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council award a construction contract in the amount of $671,440 for the Vandenberg Well Rehabilitation Project (CIP No. 60177) to General Pump Company as the lowest responsible bidder and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the contract documents on behalf of the City.Fiscal Impact: Sufficient funds have been appropriated in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Improvement Program for the rehabilitation of Vandenberg Well from the 2024 Water Bond Fund (Fund 307).
