23. APPROVE PURCHASE OF TWO POLICE SERVICE DOGS AND NECESSARY AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING FROM ADLERHORST INTERNATIONAL, LLC RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the purchase of two (2) police service dogs, related equipment and training as allowed by Montebello Municipal Code section 3.20.050(G) – Piggyback Purchase, utilizing the existing Riverside County Sheriff’s Office competitive bidding process award (Request for Quote # SHARC-588) to Adlerhorst International, LLC; and 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents related to the purchase of the police service dogs, equipment and training; and 3. Amend the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget by increasing appropriations by $50,000 in Account No. 230-996000.40 (Asset Forefiture, Supplies - Durable); and, 4. Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
