72. Settlement of the Matter Entitled, The Estate of "CMW," et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al. Los Angeles County Claims Board's recommendation: Authorize settlement of the matter entitled, The Estate of "CMW," et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., United States District Court Case No. 2:24-cv-00889, in the amount of $500,000; and instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this settlement from the Department of Children and Family Services budget. This wrongful death lawsuit against the Department of Children and Family Services arises out of the death of a two-month-old while in foster care. (26-1484)
