18. ACCEPTANCE OF THE MONTEBELLO BOULEVARD FROM LOS ANGELES AVENUE TO LINCOLN BOULEVARD CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CP 888) - NOTICE OF COMPLETION RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Accept the Montebello Boulevard from Los Angeles Avenue to Lincoln Boulevard Capital Improvement Project (CP 888) as completed by Toro Enterprises, Inc.; and 2. Approve the final contract amount with Toro Enterprises, Inc. for the Project in the amount of $3,610,816 including change orders; and 3. Approve the Final Total Project Budget (Attachment A); and 4. Authorize the City Clerk to execute, verify and file the Notice of Completion (Attachment B) with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder; and 5. Authorize the release of the retention payment of $180,541 due to Toro Enterprises, Inc. following the mandatory waiting period from the date the Notice of Completion is recorded; and 6. Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
